DIY Body Oil

Maybe it's just me, but this autumn weather change is making my skin super dry. Time to take this old standby off the shelf! I strain mine and pour it into a salad dressing bottle that I keep in the shower. Then I apply a little all over just before towel-drying. It smells (and works) sooooooo great! Bonus: as long as you use food-grade essential oils, it happens to be edible... ;-)

Depending on your weather, the coconut oil may cause it to solidify on you (it doesn't for me in San Francisco, but it has for another California friend). If that happens, you can just keep it in a mason jar and apply it with your hands -- your body temperature will liquefy it again! Or you can add a little extra olive oil to lower its melting point. Just make sure not to mix hot oil with your essential oils, as heat can mess with their therapeutic benefits.

Please let me know if you have any questions, or would like to talk more! And, as always, if you ever want to stop receiving these messages, just let me know!

Happy oiling! :-)
Lindsay
