DIY Laundry Detergent

I have to mix up a batch of this when I get home this evening, so what better timing to add it to the archive! I'll include it on my IG story, but it's simple enough that you'll be just fine if you miss it!

The bad news is my best tool is a microplane, and grating soap that way is a little tedious. The good news is -- well, there's lots of good news. Way less single use plastic, saving lots of money, omitting toxic additives, smelling better... But the really good news is that it lasts months and months and months, so I won't have to do this again for a while! And washing soda can be made easily from baking soda, so the ingredients are all very easy to source in bulk!

A lot of the essential oils get washed away, so you'll get a much longer-lasting impact after the wash is over, like adding some to dryer balls. Or, save electricity and use a laundry line and some linen spray!

Last tip: add a (clean) sock full of rice to your storage container to absorb any excess moisture!

Please let me know if you have any questions, or would like to talk more! And, as always, if you ever want to stop receiving these messages, just let me know!

Happy oiling! :-)
Lindsay
